HOW IT ALL STARTED The Future of Nature & Cultural Heritage Foundation (Insamlingsstiftelsen Framtidens Natur & Kulturarv) was formally established in 2021 by the nonprofit association with the same name. The association was founded in early 2019 with a clear mission: to protect Sweden’s biodiversity and cultural landscapes by gaining long-term conservational managment of ecologically valuable land. Our purpose is locked into our statutes and cannot be changed. At least 90% of all donations must be used to fulfill our mission. We are supervised by public authorities (Länsstyrelsen) and are submitted under law DOWNLOAD STATUES OUR VISION The Foundation’s vision is to strengthen biodiversity by protecting and restoring natural habitats in Sweden. We achieve this by acquiring land, entering long-term use-right agreements, and actively managing these areas based on conservation science and local knowledge. This structure protects donors, landowners, and nature alike. No political or commercial interests can interfere and nature gets protection into the future. Safeguard biodiversity and threatened species Protect and care for Sweden’s cultural heritage in rural and forested landscapes Promote natural carbon storage in land use Restore wetlands and freshwater systems THE NEXT BIG STEP Our goal is to bring thousands of hectares under permanent or long-term conservation management.Through strong partnerships within our growing network, we’re building a platform for nature conservation management that is ecologically ambitious, financially sound, and legally durable. We are growing — responsibly, transparently, and with a firm focus on strengthening biodiversity.
